About the project
An interior that retreats to its essentials — quiet materials, considered proportions, light handled as a material in its own right. A living room that asks nothing of the room except to be lived in.
Each project at MERAKI_Studio begins on the site, not on the page. We spent the first weeks understanding how the building would be inhabited, where the light falls at different hours, and what the place asked of us. Only then did the drawings begin.
The architectural language is restrained — calibrated to the materials and crafts available to the project — and the interiors are layered with hand-finished details, custom furniture, and artworks chosen in conversation with our clients.
