Meraki /ˈmeraki/ — to put soul, creativity, and love into what you do.
Led by अभिषेक जांगिद (Abhishek Jangid), our practice is rooted in the belief that every space tells a story. We create environments that honor their context, embrace natural materials, and elevate the human experience.
Founded in 2018, MERAKI_Studio has established a reputation for design rigor and warm sophistication. We work across scales — from intimate residential interiors to large architectural commissions — with the same attention to detail, materiality, and the ineffable quality that makes a space feel alive.
Our process is deeply collaborative. We work closely with clients, artisans, and engineers to create spaces that endure. We prioritize natural materials that age gracefully, traditional crafts reimagined for contemporary life, and a design language that is both rooted and forward-looking.

Manifesto · 01
"We don't make buildings. We make backgrounds for the lives people want to lead."
Method · 02
Each project begins with a question: who lives here, and what is this place asking of us? We spend more time listening than drawing. Then we draw, in the dirt if necessary.

Practice · 04
Three disciplines, one studio.
Architecture · Interiors · Landscape — run as a single practice, sequenced and overlapped as projects require.
Method · 05
A six-step ritual, refined across six years.
No project at MERAKI_Studio skips a phase. We earn each step of the way, and the building earns its place.
012 – 4 weeks Inquiry
Listening
We spend the first weeks visiting the site, the place, the people. We listen — and only then do we draw.
024 – 8 weeks Concept
The first intuition
Hand sketches, models, and material tests. We commit to a direction you can feel and critique.
038 – 14 weeks Schematic
Spatial design
Plans, sections, light studies. The architecture becomes specific enough to talk to a builder about.
0412 – 20 weeks Design development
Drawing to build
Detailed drawings, material specifications, consultant coordination. The vision is now documentable.
059 – 18 months Construction
On site
Weekly site visits, materials checks, room mockups. Most buildings are made here, not on paper.
062 – 6 weeks Handover
Living in it
We tune light, fixtures, and finishes to the way you'll actually use the space. Then we step back.

Currently in conversation.
A featured project — selected because it best captures what we're trying to say with built form at the moment.

A hospitality intervention within an existing hotel — a bar and dining venue where raw concrete, brushed brass, and low amber light hold the warmth of an old jazz club. Furniture is bespoke; art is curated in conversation with the client.
