About the project
A composition of gridded volumes aligned to the path of the sun. Repeating concrete frames open onto a central court, holding the line between structure and shelter — a house that earns its weight in shadow.
Each project at MERAKI_Studio begins on the site, not on the page. We spent the first weeks understanding how the building would be inhabited, where the light falls at different hours, and what the place asked of us. Only then did the drawings begin.
The architectural language is restrained — calibrated to the materials and crafts available to the project — and the interiors are layered with hand-finished details, custom furniture, and artworks chosen in conversation with our clients.
